what is this page?
this page is dedicated to my player character from the hit mmorpg final fantasy 14. i play on faerie. i've been playing the game for almost five years now, and i am deeply attached to my character. and so this page was born! i don't roleplay with her or anything, so it's purely a space to record lore about her and have a place to go so i can appreciate her at any time without logging in... and of course to share her with the world!
personality
thiya certainly isn't the number one candidate for warrior of light. she isn't partial to doing things unless she can benefit, she dislikes small talk and keeps her responses short, she tends not to practice the dangerous spells she learns before putting them to use, and isn't always conscious of staying on others' good side. but for all the trouble she causes her fellow scions, she is dependable in battle because she lives for the chance to flex her magical skill. thiya is willing to teach those willing to learn, and has even been known to show fondness to those she deems worthy. a short list of her traits would include:

first impressions
depending on the circumstances of meeting, thiya may present anywhere from confident to downright moody. she is usually a bit standoffish, and maybe even suspicious of the other person and their motives. unless she is meeting someone to teach them about thaumaturgy, then she will be eager to share her knowledge, while trying and failing to keep a cool image.
deeper down
thiya does not care much for relationships; they simply do not interest her, at least not nearly as much as magic and her craft. she is fervent to make new magical discoveries and be an idol to budding thaumaturges - to validate her love of black magic despite past criticism and fear of her gift. she views shatotto with similar reverence as others do hydaelyn. although she presents herself as a scholar, thiya enjoys feeling powerful.
while she struggles to socialize, when she does find a friend she shows a more unbridled side of herself, and will actively look out for their wellbeing (a big deal). when she dislikes someone, it is evident during any time she is forced to interact with them, though typically she would just avoid them entirely.
